Milton Man New Voice of the New England Patriots

Bob Socci named play-by-play announcer for the New England Patriots on 98.5.

  Bob Socci has been named the radio play-by-play announcer for the New England Patriots on 98.5, The Sports Hub (WBZ-FM), the official flagship radio station of the three-time Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.  Socci resides in Milton with his wife, Monique Tello, and two children, Gio and Maria. Patriots Coach Bill Belichick to Appear at Milton Fundraiser

"Dinner With Coach," which will feature New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, will help fund Labouré College's move to Adams Street in Milton.

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick will speak at a VIP event to raise funds for Labouré College's move to Milton. Belichick will be joined by comedian Lenny Clarke at the dinner at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy on Thursday, May 9. Tickets, which are $1,000 for an individual VIP ticket, include dinner, Q&A session and photo with Belichick, as well as a special gift. Clarke will perform and auction off a round of golf with the guest of honor. "I am looking forward to the event on May 9th in support of Labouré College and its mission to provide high quality education and prepare women and men for careers in health care. NFL Playoffs: TV Schedule and Where to Watch Championship Games in Milton

The New England Patriots host the Baltimore Ravens at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the AFC Championship Game. Here’s a roundup of where and when to catch the games this Championship Weekend.

The New England Patriots host the Baltimore Ravens Gillette Stadium in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, battling for the right to go to their second straight Super Bowl, and sixth in the Tom Brady/Bill Belichick era. The NFL Championship Weekend begins Sunday at 3 p.m. on Fox when the Atlanta Falcons host the San Fransisco 49ers to determine the NFC champion. Then, at 6:30 p.m., on CBS, the Patriots kick off against rival Baltimore. There is some recent history between the two teams, beginning in 2009, when the Ravens marched into Foxboro and stunned the heavily favored Patriots, 33-14 to knock the home team out of the playoffs. NFL Playoffs: TV Schedule and Where to Watch Divisional Round Games in Milton

The New England Patriots host the Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the AFC Divisional Round. Here’s a roundup of where and when to catch all the NFL playoff action this weekend.

The divisional round of the NFL playoffs begins this weekend in Denver when the Broncos host the Baltimore Ravens at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Locally, the New England Patriots host the Houston Texans Sunday at Gillette Stadium. Kick-off in Foxborough is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Patriots fans hoping for another AFC Championship game in Foxborough will be tuning in Saturday to cheer on the Ravens against Peyton Manning and the Broncos while fans wanting to see a Brady-Manning showdown with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line will be favoring the Broncos Saturday.  Of course, in either scenario, the Patriots need to knock off the Houston Texans Sunday to advance. The New England Patriots made it to the Super Bowl for the fifth time in 12 seasons, and Bill Belichick's team looks like it might make another run. Sure Tom Brady is 35, but 35 is the new 30 according to the gurus on sports talk radio. Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez will be third year pros, Wes Welker is signed for another year, and the secondary looks pretty good. Milton Native Signs with New England Patriots

Defensive lineman and Milton native Tim Bulman joined the New England Patriots on Wednesday.

A Milton native will join the New England Patriots as they begin the 2012 NFL season. According to a report from nesn.com, Tim Bulman, a veteran defensive lineman signed with the Patriots on Wednesday. Bulman comes to the Patriots after playing for the Houston Texans for four years and one year for the Arizona Cardinals. The 29-year-old played for Boston College and Boston College High School.

Milton Residents Attend Fundraiser at Red Sox Owner's Home

Boston Red Sox owner John Henry hosted the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston’s 7th Annual House Party.

Two Milton residents recently attended the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston’s 7th Annual House Party at the home of Boston Red Sox Owner John Henry. Lisa and Paul Rooney attended the event hosted by Henry and his wife, Linda Pizzuti Henry. This year’s House Party raised more than $2.3 million to help serve urban youth, according to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston. New England Patriots wide receiver, Wes Welker, and team owner, Robert Kraft, among other celebrities, were also part of the event.

Thomas Family Dental Shows Patriots Spirit

The staff at Thomas Family Dental recently showed their support for the New England Patriots.

Milton is in full New England Patriots fever. Don’t believe me? Take a look at this photo of the staff at Thomas Family Dental. Business Administrator Robert Bridge and Susan Janeiro showed their Patriots pride on Thursday, February 2, in front of their office on Adams Street. The folks at Thomas Family Dental aren’t the only Milton people or organizations backing the local team in Super Bowl XLVI. Earlier this week, Governor Deval Patrick, of Milton, announced his friendly wager with his New York counterpart. We also checked in with the Milton Council on Aging and their team spirit. Senior Center Backs the Patriots

In our search to find displays of New England Patriots support, we found a few great examples at the Milton Council on Aging.

Milton Patch is on the hunt to find the best displays of New England Patriots support in Milton. On Wednesday, February 1, just days before the home team charges into Super Bowl XLVI, we found the Milton Council on Aging decked out in Pats colors. Pennants and a sign welcome guests to the building and photos of Patriots players adorn the Senior Center’s main function room. Do you know of a place that’s decorated for the big game?
