Milton Parking Ban Remains in Effect

The on-street parking ban in Milton will be in effect until further notice.

An on-street parking ban in Milton will continue until further notice due to the recent blizzard, according to an announcement on townofmilton.org. The ban went into effect Thursday, February 7, in advance of Winter Storm Nemo. About 28 inches of snow fell on Milton and DPW crews continue to try to dig out from the storm. Vehicles that do not comply with the ban will be towed. The Milton Police Department has been strictly enforcing the parking ban.

Milton Enacts On-Street Parking Ban

Vehicles should not be parked on Milton streets Thursday night until Monday, February 11.

An on-street parking ban has been placed on the Town of Milton from Thursday, February 7, until Monday morning, February 11. According to Department of Public Works Director Joe Lynch, the ban will be strictly enforced by the Milton Police Department. Tickets for on-street parking will be issued Thursday night and cars could be towed once the storm starts. The Department of Conservation and Recreation has also declared a snow emergency and a parking ban for all DCR roads and parkways. Jempson Path is a small back treet off Willingdon Crescesnt and that is off of Savoline. NONE of these small streets are plower. The entrance is 3 feet high with snow and 5 feet wide. Everyone that has attempted has got stuck. HOW are we supposed to not leave cars on the street if we can't even get to our houses? Seriously   more ›
