Tuesday's Presidential Primary saw a change in precincts and new polling locations in Milton.
The shuffling of precincts and the changing of polling locations was the afternoon talking point in Milton during the Presidential Primary on Tuesday, March 6. At the Precinct 3 polls at Cunningham Hall, several voters walked in and asked, “Am I in the right place?” In most cases, they were, as the precinct moved to Cunningham Hall from Glover School. Glover School, which is no longer a polling location, alerted voters that the polls had been moved with a sign on the door. The changes are a result of redistricting after the 2010 U.S. Census. The Presidential Primary is Tuesday, March 6. Voters in Milton will join voters from 10 states across the country, which will hit the polls for Super Tuesday. The polls in Milton will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Voters will move one hopeful closer to the Republican nomination for President. For Massachusetts voters to be eligible to vote in the March 6, 2012 Presidential Primary, a mail-in voter registration form must be postmarked by Wednesday, February 15. The voter registration form is available here, and must be mailed to the Commonwealth’s Election Division by Wednesday.
