Police Investigate East Milton Bank Robbery
The Sovereign Bank in East Milton was robbed on Monday morning.
The Milton Police Department and the FBI are currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred just before noon on Monday, July 23, at the Sovereign Bank branch in East Milton. According to Sgt. Daniel Brown, a white male in his mid-20s entered the bank at 11:52 a.m. and passed a note to a teller. The wording on the note was not available. The suspect then fled the scene, possibly in a silver, four-door sedan, down Mechanic Street with an undisclosed amount of cash. “It’s a fresh investigation,” said Brown approximately an hour after the incident. “We have detectives working it now.” As is protocol, the FBI has joined the investigation into the robbery.
