The "Insight into Iran" film series will wrap up on February 9.
“A Separation” will be the concluding film with the theme “Insight into Iran” in this season’s Winter Movie Series of Temple Shalom of Milton, co-sponsored this year by the First Congregational Church and First Parish Church. The public is invited to watch “A Separation” on Saturday evening, February 9th at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:45. “The Color of Paradise” will be the next film within the theme “Insight into Iran” in this season’s Winter Movie Series of Temple Shalom of Milton, co-sponsored this year by the First Congregational Church and First Parish Church. Rabbi Alfred Benjamin of Temple Shalom of Milton will lead a discussion on the topic “Who were the Earliest Christians and Why?” at a pre-Hanukah Pot Luck Dinner and Shabbat Service on Friday evening, December 7. The event is hosted by Paul and Sue Etkind at the Great Hall of the First Congregational Church, 495 Canton Avenue. The discussion at about 8:30 p.m. is open to the community, followed by dessert. Temple Shalom of Milton will celebrate the Jewish holiday of Chanukah with a Community-wide Family Celebration and Fundraiser on Sunday, December 9, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Pierce Middle School. This family Chanukah event will be under the direction of Education Director Nancy Mollitor and Rabbi Alfred Benjamin. The celebration, sponsored by the Temple’s Rabbi Jerome Weistrop Religious School, will include a talent show, latke tasting, menorah lighting, book swap, raffles, Chanukah songs, and traditional snacks of latkes and sufganiyot (donuts). The event is open to the entire community. Admission is $5/pp, $3 under 13 and free for children 3 and under, with a family maximum of $12. This event is part of Temple Shalom’s regular …
