Tara Stapleton of Milton owns a unique yoga business that operates like a concierge service.
Yoga, the spiritual exercise technique originating from Hinduism and Buddhism, is now widely practiced at studios and gyms around the world. But “Yoga with Tara S.” goes one step further, bringing the art of the exercise right to your home. “The beauty of it is I come to them,” said owner Tara Stapleton. “I make it easy and give them the tools to calm themselves down.” Stapleton’s yoga business, somewhat like a concierge service, has operated in Milton and the surrounding South Shore area for four years, offering one-on-one and group classes at every skill level. Stapleton specializes in Kirapalu yoga, which focuses on breathing, alignment and meditation. With easy stretching moves, Stapleton describes Kirapalu as a “non-competitive” …

Community is defined as “a group living in close proximity that often shares cultural and historical heritage.” The town of Milton’s celebration of 350 years of community was an enormous success that strengthened the ties that bind us together. Although the events beginning June 8 had been advertised for months, the excitement really started to build when the Department of Public Works painted the 350th logo and red, white and blue lines outlining the parade route earlier in the week. Many folks were spotted taking pictures of the logo and posting to Facebook in anticipation of the big event weekend. The kickoff on Friday found Milton families spreading out all over the high school campus, enjoying the cookout and band concerts, and …

Patch's Norfolk County Court Roundup for June 24. The following information came from various courts in Norfolk County. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction unless otherwise stated.
Milton man accused of assaulting, injuring sister Ralph J. Molin, 23, of 16 Quentin St., Milton, was arraigned in Quincy District Court on charges of assaulting and battery on a child with injury, two counts of assault and battery, vandalizing property, and violation of an abuse prevention order. The case was continued to July 16. Molin is being held on $3,000 bail at the Norfolk County House of Correction in Dedham. The charges stem from a report of a family disturbance involving a young man beating up his family. Police said Molin allegedly went upstairs to his sister's room and tried to grab a telephone away from her. When she yelled at him to get out of her room, Molin allegedly became angry and hit her on the left side of her face. …
Future chefs bake a cake for the town's anniversary celebration.
Editor's note: Judy Bass is the publicist for Blue Hills Regional Technical School. Sometimes, a cake isn’t a simple confection. It is a memorable learning experience, a thrilling labor of love, and an emblem of the close and valuable relationship between a town and a school, one forged over decades and that will last for decades to come. This was the case with the massive cake made by culinary-arts students from Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton to commemorate the recent 350th anniversary of the town of Milton, one of Blue Hills’ nine district communities. (The others are Avon, Braintree, Canton, Dedham, Holbrook, Norwood, Randolph and Westwood.) “When fully assembled,” said Richard Spada, a permanent building-wide substitute…
