ReplyNow that's really something, Erich! Thanks for posting that, Aquinnah, Buddha and the Dalai Lama were down in New Orleans together on Aquinnah's and Buddha's birthday. So fine.
Today HHDL will be at Tulane with Dr. John and Allen Toussaint. That Dalai Lama keeps pretty good company, as does Aquinnah. -

ReplyHolly, didn't know you had a rickshaw...
Annette, I just spoke to Buddha, and he says he is willing. Something going on between you two? -

ReplyAmusing, Louisa. But isn't that grammatically correct both ways:
1. without the apostrophe, the familiar cliche.
2. with the apostrophe, an inferable elision of the word "grasp"And, Peter, that "its" thing is interesting. Most people think there should be an apostrophe in the possessive its, when it's the contraction that requires it.

ReplyWear white? That's because they are all riding bikes home at night and don't want to get run down by drunken rickshaw drivers.

ReplyWhen people have too little to do, they get all ornate about it. In any case, I don't think leaving decisions about language to bureaucrats is ever a good idea.

Charming, utterly charming. You have an amazing gift of expression, Holly. The details are like ripe strawberries ready to be picked. The dialog like tennis.
